Île Saint-Louis - The Quay of Anjou
The Quai d'Anjou has two levels: the first, submersible, in direct contact with the Seine and the second, raised about ten meters, at the foot of the mansions. Its name was chosen to honor the royal family and more particularly Gaston d'Orléans, Duke of Anjou, brother of Louis XIII. At number 1 is the Hôtel Lambert, built by Louis Le Vau for Lambert de Thorigny.
