The priory or abbey of Saint-Martin-des-Champs is a former Catholic abbey that has become a priory. Initially a collegiate church founded in 1059 to replace a late 6th century basilica destroyed by the Normans, the establishment was entrusted to the Cluniacs in 1079 and quickly became the main dependency of the powerful Burgundian head quarter.
